Finally updated
last modified: Sunday, October 25, 2009 (12:47:03 PM CST)
Finally, I managed to get all my cels scanned, backgrounds and re-sized. I didn't realize I had so many to do.
I hope to get more from the sequence of Sesshoumaru attacking Naraku's poison insects. There's probably 8-10 in the sequence where he spins around then strikes.

I felt like redecorating my gallery. I like this one better than the old one.
I hope everyone enjoys their Independence Day celebrations!

It's been a long time since I did my scanning and working on the cels. I don't like "naked" cels, cels with no backgrounds. So I work on the cels to add the backgrounds. I usually use screencaps from InuYasha for InuYasha cels, I will use the animated Star Trek series for backgrounds with Star Trek and Yamato. I am working on getting those for my last two Yamato cels. I am almost done:)

Okay, I scanned all my new cels. Now I have to re-size and do backgrounds. I don't like to put up cels with no backgrounds, they look naked. So if they don't come with a background, I'll add one. Either my own painting or a screencap from InuYasha. So I have my work cut out for me.

I have new cels to add, just haven't taken the time to add them. InuYasha and Yamato. All have been scanned. I just need to resize for thumbnails. I think I'll wait until I get my newest Sesshoumaru cel though. It's a part of a sequence that has my ultimate wishlist cel.

Add Comment (1 available)Wonderful postal service!
last modified: Thursday, September 13, 2007 (10:32:29 PM CST)
I got my cels from Celga, finally!! They sent the cels out the beginning of August. The postal carrier tried to deliver on the 8th. Of course, I'm at work and the package needs to be signed for. So they leave a slip. Well, supposedly, they tried again the next day, August 9th. My friend's son was at my house all day as I had to work. The postal carrier claims no one was home. I live in a Trailer park and the mail boxes are down front. The carrier has to go up to my trailer. Well, instead of doing that, they simply left another slip in my box. They thought no one would be home. So the cels went back to Japan. I e-mailed celga, told them what happened. When they got the cels back, they shipped them out again. I had to pay shipping twice! It was supposed to go to my work place. I get a slip instead. My friend went and talked to the post master, and the slip went to one of my co-workers, whose husband works for the post office. This happened yesterday. So today, I get a special delivery at work by the husband. It took that long to get my cels!!!

What a bummer to see a cel you know you can't afford, at least not in one lump sum. And since I don't do credit cards anymore, the only way I can pay for a cel over $100 is by payments. Yahoo Japan has two nice Sesshoumaru cels. I go through Celga, and of course they don't take payments. "Sigh". Well, no one ever said life has to be fair. Some days are bummers, some days are good. Thanks Remi for giving me a good day!

I was looking at my most viewed pictures, and was surprised to find that some of my art work is more popular then some of my cels! I find that amazing!

I went to Sakura-con this weekend and had a good time. Picked up two new cels. One is for my friend's daughter, a Sailor Moon cel. However, the cel stays at my house. The dealer told me that InuYasha cels are harder to find at decent prices. He had just two. He said it's because InuYasha went cgi after episode 99. And they're very popular.

I'm re-organizing my groups. I was going to wait till I scanned my new cels, but decided not to wait. New cels will be added after anime convention.

I'm totally delighted to be getting actual Godzilla cels, and in good shape no less! It seems to me I'm the only one collecting Godzilla. Is there anyone else out there who collects Godzilla? Godzilla's been a favorite of mine since childhood.

I am a BIG Godzilla fan. Unfortunately, Godzilla cels are extremely hard to find. But I did find a bunch of Godzookie. They're not in the best shape, they have some line fading, but they're not bad either.
